Ochre Services is developing long-haul submarine and terrestrial networks in the fastest growing broadband region in the world - the Asia-Pacific.

Ochre is establishing an important new submarine cable system between Western Australia, Indonesia and Singapore. This will enhance the next generation of broadband infrastructure for each country and facilitate trade and cultural links between Indonesia and Australia.

In 2007 Ochre turned to 8bits Media to create a website for the company that would reflect their pivotal position in the Asia-Pacific Telecommunications Industry.

The result is a new website that utilises Ochre Service's logo and colour palette, incorporates Web 2.0 technologies and is built to International Web Standards.

Features:

Content Management System

8bits CMS was incorporated into the site to cater for the exponential growth Ochre is experiencing. Staff now have editorial control over the site without the need for outsourcing or specialist staff in-house.

E-Marketing Functionality

An email marketing function - 8bits MailSmart - was added to this website to allow Ochre staff can distribute and monitor e-marketing campaigns on demand.

Web Development built to International Standards

This website was built using XHTML and CSS to ensure maximum cross-browser compatibility and longevity.

Really Simple Syndication

RSS is available on the Ochre News Feed to keep interested parties updated in real time.

Streaming Video

Telecom TV Asia interviewed Ochre Services Managing Director Brett O'Riley during PTC08 in Hawaii. Site visitors can now view this interview online.
