Aussie Conference Time Again

This week the 8bits crew are off to Sydney for some professional development. September 19, 20 & 21 we'll be at OZIA Australia's Information Architecture Conference. Natasha is particularly excited about the Rapid Prototyping in Flash workshop.

Then after a few days of sightseeing and visiting clients, colleagues, friends and family we attend Web Directions South. We have been attending this conference since 2005 and it is always enlightening, inspiring and a load of fun after hours!

We'll be catching up with Twitter and Facebook friends and seeing how mobile & other applications are affecting the future of the web for us all. The closing keynote address sounds particularly interesting: The human network - sharing, knowledge and power in the 21st century. Can't wait!

Pelican Waters Carols by Candlelight

8bits' client Caloundra City School held their annual Carols by Candlelight event last Sunday.

Special guests included Olympic Swim champion Stephanie Rice and Home and Away heart throb Lincoln Lewis.

Congratulations to all organisers, sponsors, volunteers and performers. Despite threatening storms the night was a terrrific success! You can see some photos of the event on our photosteam or via the Caloundra City School web site gallery.
