At 8bits Media we often spend a lot of time explaining why clean code, built to international standards is so important.

The business results gained, from a search engine and accessibility standpoint, are so important. But I must admit it can be rather dull. I am sure some of our designers (and clients) might choose to watch paint dry rather than listen to another coding lecture from our resident evangelist, Nick.

Social Media and Your Business

RSS in Plain English

If you want to stay in regular contact with your customers, one of the best ways is to use RSS (Really Simple Syndication). RSS makes it possible for your customers, suppliers and other interested parties to pull a web feed from the news section of your site whenever you make an update.

So, when something new & exciting happens in your company - put it on your website news or blog sections. Then, rather than just relying on the traditional methods of spreading the word, you know that everyone that subscribes to your RSS feed will have received the message immediately, via their news reader.
